Continue your Thanksgiving Day tradition with a socially distanced turkey trot in 2020.


Pick your location of Gilbert, Phoenix or Virtual. Runners will select a start time for their family and will show up to run that morning at their designated start time. Only 15 runners are allowed per wave. Event is still chip timed!


How to Participate:

  1. Click the registration button on the left hand side of screen and register for the event
  2. Select your location that you want to run - Gilbert, Phoenix or Virtual
  3. Complete the registration info
  4. Select style of shirt you would like - short sleeve, tank top, kids size or for an additional $7 the long sleeve 
  5. Select your start time - (please do not arrive early or late to your start time)
  6. Finish registration
  7. Show up for packet pick up on race morning
  8. Have fun!

Where:

  • Location #1: Eastern Canal near – 2305 E Knox Rd., Gilbert
  • Location #2: Arizona Canal near – 5802 E Indian School Rd., Phoenix
  • Virtual: Anywhere - event packets will be mailed to you


Time:

  • 7am – 9am
  • Waves start every 15 minutes with only 15 per wave allotted
  • Sign up for your specific wave when registering

What do you get:
  • Shirts are sold out - runners will get a DTT coffee mug
  • Chip timing with custom event bib number
  • Finisher Medal (4.5" with a suncatcher and 360º spinning turkey feathers)

  Cost:

  • $35 for in-person
  • $40 for virtual (friends and family can join you from anywhere in the country)

Gilbert Location:
Eastern Canal near – 2305 E Knox Rd., Gilbert

Packet Pickup:

You will pick up your packet on race morning at the timing tent / start line at your specific race location. 

Gilbert Course:
Will be an out and back and marked with chalk and a turnaround sign at the halfway point



Note: There will NOT be a water station on course or at the finish please plan to bring any needed water with you.

Where to Go:

  • Parking info is below and is first come first serve and is open to the public for additional activities so please plan accordingly.


What to Expect:

  • There will be one single tent located at the start of the run. You will check in with the timing crew and they will scan your timing chip and you will start your run. Once you complete your run you will scan your chip at the finish and then continue on your way for the day.
  • There will not be any additional event activities for the run. You will be able to run and leave with ease and get ready for your feast for the day.

  • Strollers, wagons and dogs are all permitted on the run. The path is partly gravel so please plan accordingly. Rollerblades, skateboards and bicycles will not be permitted.

  • Children 17 and under are free with a parent – we just ask that you sign a waiver for them when you pick up your race packet. Please note that the free entry of the children will not include a t-shirt, finisher medal or bib number. If your child would like to receive those items then you will register them as a regular entry.
